Lauren Stone completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center New Orleans in 2015. She is a native of Mandeville, LA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Human Movement from Louisiana State University. After graduation from LSUHSC-New Orleans, she and her husband moved to Lafayette, LA to be closer to her family. Lauren has worked in outpatient orthopedics since graduating from physical therapy school and enjoys helping those return to their highest functioning level and beyond.
Lauren also completed a fellowship program with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). This is the highest level of education in orthopaedic manual physical therapy that consists of two and a half years of postgraduate training and 440 hours of one-on-one fellowship training.
Lauren decided she wanted to be a physical therapist after many years of gymnastics training and subsequent injuries. This exposed her to the physical therapy environment and the impact the profession can have on people’s lives—motivating her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Her passion for sports and fitness also drove her to get her Level 1 Crossfit Trainer Certification in 2015.
